Description

The objectives of this module are to: 
  • Review functions of the Respiratory System. 
  • Review structure and function of the thorax, lungs and lower airways. 
  • Define the following - hypoxia, hypercarbia, respiratory failure. Increase your ability to recognise clinical features of respiratory dysfunction, hypoxia and hypercarbia. 
  • Explore interventions which may be required. 
  • Utilise a patient scenario to explore required nursing interventions specific to management of hypoxia and respiratory failure.
The assessment comprises a challenging 10 question quiz which varies each time you attempt it. You can review your marked quiz after each attempt to aid the learning process.
